DIGITAL MARKETING COACHING
Grow Remarkable is run by two ladies Laura Virkkala and Tara Hulbert. The idea of a digital marketing coaching agency started when Laura and Tara were both teaching university-level marketing courses and they noticed that there was a big gap between marketing theories tand how to do marketing in practice. More and more students were looking for gaining practical skills which were not part of the academic marketing course offering. The idea was born that Grow Remarkable could provide in-depth practical digital marketing skills that the business owners were looking for and explain it in a simple way without diving too deep into the digital marketing academic theories and models.
The name Grow Remarkable comes from two parts. GROW -we want to train businesses to master digital marketing so they can GROW and exceed in their business. The second part of the name REMARKABLE comes from The Remarkables mountain range in Queenstown New Zealand. Laura and Tara were looking at The Remarkables mountain range when they came up with the idea to start a digital marketing coaching agency and they wanted to help their customers to grow REMARKABLE.
Tara Hulbert
Social Media influencer Tara Hulbert (@Kiwiamericans) has gotten over 50,000 followers on TikTok in 1 year and has a growing channel on YouTube. On top of that Tara has run 3 small businesses and has taught Communication/Marketing at the university level for over 20 years! Tara loves to help businesses grow through organic social media outreach and digital marketing strategy.
Tara moved to New Zealand with her family of six from the USA in 2013. She loves to travel, hike, dance, and all things New Zealand. She has an e-commerce business with Amazon USA, a podcast, and a thriving YouTube channel on how to move to NZ from the USA. Tara has many interests but at the end of the day she just truly loves working with people.
Laura Virkkala
Digital Marketing Coach Laura Virkkala has been working in various marketing related roles for almost two decades across many fields: IT, Health & Wellbeing, Hospitality, Media, Telecommunications and Travel. For the past years, Laura has been working as a Marketing & Leadership lecturer in New Zealand teaching Bachelor of Business programs and graduate diplomas.
Originally Laura comes from Finland where she completed her Master of Science in Business Administration degree majoring in marketing. Laura also is a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and runs Aloraway Health Coaching side hustle coaching people on nutrition, wellness & wellbeing, and to thrive in their lives.
Laura is passionate about the outdoors and loves hiking, rock climbing, and snowboarding. She is also a globetrotter and gets very excited about travelling to new places and countries. In coaching, Laura wants to bring the best out of people and help them to succeed in their business or personal life and thrive on the highest level.
